I’ve somehow managed to stumble through another weekend, and made it back to work in all my zombified glory. Sort of the calm before the storm, this weekend brings my biggest show in a while and hopefully the weather will bounce back before it gets here. Despite a lack of comforting confirmation from the booking agency, everything seems to be in order, so all we can do is wait.

Two shows actually coming this weekend, with some long awaited downtime after that. First up is a benefit for Allen Michael Clark, better known as Rock, in Milwaukee this Friday. The event, called Eulogy features a slew of local DJs, raffles, t-shirts and other things aimed at generating proceeds to cover the family’s final expenses. Not sure what to expect given the camp out scheduled to run throughout the weekend, but it’s always a treat to play out of town. Plus I’ve never been to the almighty Liquor Sweets -a place I’ve heard much about.

The next night is the big one. JUSTIN fuckin’ LONG. It’s been more than a few years since we’ve seen him in the area, and he’s been on an upward tear since starting his latest project ‘Wasted Chicago Youth’ with Mazi (another favorite of mine). This show is pretty much going to kick off the summer as far as I’m concerned. I’m hoping to have some extra little goodies in place before the night sneaks up on me, but I’m not sure if I’ll be able to pull it off or not yet. We shall see. If nothing else, we’ll just have to settle for a night of world class music and hot dance floor action. le sighYou’ve also probably noticed the long awaited changes to the site are finally starting to become visible. My thanks goes out to CutFUCKER for the stunning graphic design out of secretstudios.net, and to doctor jonez for getting the theme pack together in just under 15 months. ; )

Seriously though, without them I’d still be rocking a basic HTML site and no one should have to look at that anymore. Maybe I’ll find some time to continue to fill it out this week, and eventually work into posting some newer mixes and the flier archives so they’ll be easier to navigate. Either way expect some new and interesting things to pop up here and there until it’s all upgraded and ready to rock. That’s it for now folks, until my brain gets back to normal.
