tornado season!
Hello my pretties,
Just a quick note to let you know what’s going on lately: everything! Sheesh, I should have sat down this weekend to type it all out, but there’s no time like now to get you back up to speed.
Tomorrow is already the annual MATC spring cookout, and it looks to be one of the few days this week that isn’t forecast to be rainy. It goes from 10:30 until 1p, so it’s officially the earliest gig I’ve ever played, not considering the ones I’ve still been up for from the night before. Expect a little of everything as I try to guess what people want to hear at that time of day, while at school.
Hot on the heels of that gig I’ll be playing at Natt Spil on Thursday night, for my long awaited return since my first performance there quite some time ago. That one should be interesting, as CircuitWorks was commissioned to reinstall the sound system there and I have yet to truly hear it in action while at the controls. Sure I’m there often enough, but you just never know what’s really going on, y’know?
And then, in the not too distant future, a very exciting return of the RADIO monthly parties. This month we have a guest that’s really making waves in the music scene and the source and integral part of many amazing projects, not the least of which being Trash Menagerie, an insanely awesome music blog out of Chicago. If you’ve never been, I advise you to unplug your phone, turn time back a fair amount and get to it. You’ve got a cultural phenomenon to catch up on.

I’m speaking of Rupert, aka Local Hero, and I couldn’t be more jazzed about how this is going to go down. I tend to experiment a bit with where our core audience prefers it’s music, and this man is just about as versatile and intuitive as they come. With a natural ability to rock the party and a supernatural skill for connecting with the crowd, he’s sure to give you a taste of everything and anything, and exactly what you’ve been craving -whether or not you even knew it! Opening on the bill is Sean Delfin, local anti-hero, so it kind of fits. |
Sean has always been a controversial celebrity in the Madison music industry, but the one thing everyone agrees on is that this cat has some serious chops on the decks. And there you have it, maybe the fastest update I’ve ever typed. Hope to see you in between the fits of pouring rain and thunderstorms. Hell, maybe even during some..
