Hey gang,
We’re back with another knock-down drag-out event. Hopefully this one will go a little better than last month’s efforts that ended in a major flood in Milwaukee and a stranded headliner. This time around we’re taking no chances and looking forward to treating you guys to something truly special. So hold on to your hats and check it out:

That’s right, Chicago house legend Gene Farris coming to Madison on his Back & Forth tour around the globe, hitting our fair dance floors on Friday, Sept. 17th. This is something I wouldn’t have even been able to consider was it not for friend and CircuitWorks DJ mate JP, who managed to pull together the resources to put it on. Along with myself and JP, DJ B will be opening up the show at 10 with his laid back, ultra smooth west coast style house music. Before that is the simultaneously mind-blowing and educational TGIFunk set by none other than Dr. Funkenstein from 8-10p. I’ve been really getting into this kids stuff lately, and his mastery of decades worth of material is something to behold. He always gets the dance floor going in the right direction.

Just beyond that is the much anticipated ₪ Mentality ₪ night down at Natt Spil on 8/26. Due to a scheduling snafu I missed last month so I’m really looking forward to getting back to it. Plenty of new psychedelic and groovy cuts to take you on a summer ride. So, when I say ‘anticipated’ I mean by me Hopefully you, too. If you’ve been to any of them you already know they’re a good time.
